God is listening to everyone! No matter who you are or where you are He is listening. It matters not your status in life, nor does it matter how spiritual or non-spiritual "someone" may think you are. So why is it that some prayers are answered and others go untouched?
God hears your praise, he hears your love, and he hears your gratitude because for him all there is is love. So if we are praying to get out of debt he will provide us with that very opportunity, "To GET OUT of debt". Do you see it? You are basically asking him to allow you to experiencing getting out of debt, instead of the free life that he has already given you.
God hears us all the time and the answers are always there. But another thing happens that keeps people from thinking that God is listening, ignorance. Ignorance simply means being in the dark and ultimately this is a place that we choose. We choose it because when God provides us with the answer, if it's not exactly the way that we wanted it, we go back into darkness thinking that God doesn't speak to us. But he always speaks to us.
In Higher Mind, Lower Mind we were given a formula to allow us to see God speaking to us. Many have balked at this idea and have continued to see they’re going down the drain blaming it on the economy, the government or others they perceive more powerful than themselves. In this formula, when a person completes the process they are able to see God's words lifting off the page and into their own hearts. The spirit statement becomes the prayer. It becomes the focus, intent and awareness that will allow what you do want, rather than what you don't want into your life.
But another thing can happen within the statement that also happens within prayers, "Did I ask for the right thing? Did I make myself clear?" Folks, there is no way to be absolutely clear in your words, but only in your heart. If your heart has an old program running then you will need to resolve this first and foremost.
God is not outside of you, he is inside. When we extend a prayer request in order to obtain something we literally are separating ourselves from ourselves and now have to experience what we have just projected. It hit me the other day just how powerful this is to the point I felt dizzy and taken out of space-time for a moment. I realized then that all things are happening within me first and then seen outside.
Many of you are worrying about work, money and how you're going to take care of yourselves in the next few months, maybe even years. Did you know that when you are willing to listen and be present with and for God that all kinds of miracles open up. People have always asked me, "How do you get all the jobs that you've had without education, training, or credentials?" Simply this, God has always opened the doors for me. I have been willing to listen and give praise for all things in my life.
I wanted to experience bliss while being conscious. To do this meant that I needed to wake up, listen and take 100% responsibility for my life and what I was seeing within it. Does this mean that all things that I see I'm responsible for, no! Because they are just the little distortions that we see in the pond as we're looking at our own reflection. But remember you've got to dig down deep to find that Golden Nugget.
