Is it fishermen or fish "or" men? As I worked a process late yesterday evening I began to see how clever we really are in our deception. As I witnessed myself diving deeper and deeper into the abyss I became disoriented and confused. Confused and disortiented in what was real, what was I really seeing, and now had the most beautiful projection playing out right in front of me. It was absolutely beautiful.
But with everything that is beautiful we can become attached to what is not real and get stuck. It was then that I realized that it's not a matter of how many times we've lived here on earth, or whether we did at all; but rather how deep we've dived. Each time we dive in we have forgotten what's above us because we've been here so long.
Is it really how long we've been here or how deep we've dived? Each time we dive there is a part of us that knows that we will pull ourselves up, we will remember, and we will come to the top once again to find truth. We do this because we know we can do it! It is our goal to become "knowing" of this experience without becoming attached to the experience. We dive in wanting that experience learning to do so without becoming attached to the drama. It is when we become attached that we are no longer able to come to the surface.
This is the fish and hook! As we're swimming in this sea of life there are all kinds of hooks oput there. Some of the hooks drag our asses around, then other hooks will bring us to the surface slowly.
Now to a fish this means death- this is true for us as well- just not in the physical sense but rather the death of what is not real. When we take the bait and become attached to the hook then we can either allow it to bring us to the surface or we can fight it and be drug around.
So we should welcome the ability to get hooked, otherwise we just stay beneath the surface, never rising above to the clear blue sky. Allowing us to re-member.
Love, Dr. Velvete
