A small group and I are doing an exercise where we write down situations that might have occurred throughout the day that we desire to receive messages to heal. Without knowing what any of our situations are we are some how all connected. I received an email from one of my friends that she had a dream about starting up a business. My request for the Universe last night was to better understand how to proceed with my business, and then another friend was going through discovering what was working for him or not working for him.
This morning I had dreams that were telling me not to waste my talents, my girlfriend that emailed was receiving the same message and then the guy friend brought up the parable in the bible about the three talents. This was not the first time he brought it up so I decided to review the story to better understand the meaning or symbolism in it all.
When we look at this parable we find that a master is getting ready to leave for a journey and he gives his staff talents of money in order for each to do as he wishes with his abilities. Two of the three men took their talents and multiplied them equally. When the master comes back home the two men were able to show their master how they were able to take their talents and experienced abundance.
When the master hears what his servants have done he tells them a job well done and how faithful they were with just a few things and puts them in charge of many more things. "Come and share your master's happiness."
Then we have the lone wolf that decided not use his talent but rather dug a hole and buried his talent within the earth. He wanted to hide his talent within the ground where he thought that it belonged. His master asked, "So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest." And then he proceeds to take the talent from this man and give it to another that already has talent and says, "For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
The message in this parable is deep and there are many hidden messages and meanings. But let's just start with the one that is easy first. What the master is saying here is, here is your talent now go out and become abundant and prosper from your abilities, make your abilities count. For those of you that wish to hide your talents and take advantage of other people that are sowing and reaping from where you don't think they are deserving then you are doomed to experience the same. This may appear like a young person just watching TV all day long rather than getting out and using or utilizing the gift or gifts that he has whether it be song writing, writer, companion or speaker.
Think about what the servant said, "You have reaped where you have not sown, and gather where you have not spread seeds." This servant is judging his master that some how he has received a blessing that is undeserving to him and that the servant should be able to benefit the same. The servant knows not the heart of the master only that he wants what the master has while reaping the benefits of what others have sown, and to gather where he has not laid down his own seeds. The servant being lazy with God's gifts and is not wanting to utilize them in order to expand God but rather keep the talent hidden within the earth.
When we are given talents this is how God is gifting each of us to expand His love and light. We are to take responsibility and be held accountable for these precious gifts offered to us by God. He is letting us know that our abundance is in taking these abilities and being blessed by them and blessing others by them. How do any of know what our gifts or talents are that God blesses us with? It's easy for us.
Someone asked me one time, "How is it that you can pick up any musical instrument and learn to play it so easily?" Simply because I know this is one of my talents that God has given me and I feel totally connected with him while I'm sharing music, writing music, or just experiencing learning a new instrument.
Many things are easy for me; and because it's easy I feel that I don't deserve to earn money from it, or make a living at it because it's so easy. We've all heard that to make a living you have to work hard at what you do. Well this isn't true. We only make it hard because we don't feel that life should be this easy or this effortless, or this kind to us.
The master clearly is able to benefit from not sowing, or scattering seeds, which tells us that the master was able to effortlessly obtain his weather and abundance. We all have this ability!
So are many of outside the walls of abundance experiencing sadness, pain, agony, torment, weeping and gnashing of the teeth? All we have to do is go within and see what talent we have and then use it.
Remember the homeless guy that had the voice of God. He used his talent to entertain people as he stood there asking for money. He didn't just ask for money, he made it known he had a talent. And then it happened, someone noticed him and now he's back making a very nice living for himself.
You see folks, we are all gifted and there is always someone that benefits from our talent because God gave them a different talent. So maybe they don't have that talent in order to enjoy your talent. I mean come on, would you want to be talented in everything? If you were you wouldn't be able to appreciate just sitting back and benefiting from other's talents.
I love getting my toes done every now and then because it's something that I'm not good at at all. So it makes me feel good to have someone else do it for me and to help me to feel relaxed. I don't see their talent less than mine or that they are less of a person than me, quite the opposite.
So you see, when we feel that we are better at something than another and waste our talent on pride we lose focus of the God and the Divine purpose in sharing.
One of the things that has taken place in our economy right now is more people working for themselves. Offering services such as laundry, car washing, housekeeping, pet setting, plant setting, mowing yards, and even creative this such as art work and sewing. All of these things are talents that have been given to them by God. They are making the best of it and now God will open His abundance to them and they will prosper.
If you feel there is a certain number or certain status to know whether or not you're making it then you are still burying your talent within the ground/EARTH. If you are struggling with your talent then the same thing is happening, you are hoping to gain without regards to the over all community or collective consciousness and are is selfishness.
Look within and find your joy in whatever it is that you do. If you are sitting there mad at the world for what you are not getting in life, then look at how you've dug a hole for yourself and start climbing out of it inch by inch. Stop looking at how others profit and only look at how you are hiding your own profit.
And remember that when we do a lot with a little God recognizes our ability to seek and understand, expand and grow and then He can't wait to give us more. It's kind of like be thankful for the little that you have or that can be taken away as well. Of course it can, because when we don't appreciate the little things in life how in the heck are we going to appreciate the big things?
Think about it!
Love, Velvete
