Tuesday morning I started my day early with massage clients, each asking me the same question, "Did you vote?". After learning that I did not vote the conversation continued with, "Well, you've got to vote. We've got to get them out of there." Now of course get who out of where was not explained, but none-the-less a powerful statement. I'll tell you why here in a minute.
When I shared with a client that it would be God's Will no matter how I voted anyway, she went to the trump card, "Well, God gave you an intelligence didn't he?". Well of course he did I explained, but this intelligence would mean that I would have to know what I'm voting for. If I'm voting straight ticket then I could possibly over looking someone that is very experienced. Just because they are Democrats does not mean they are all alike.
I used the example of our judge here in town. A wonderful judge, never had any problems and she does an excellent job. But because she was Democrats someone republican ran against her. In the whole 15 years I've been here no one has ever run against her. So some of you may say, "Well it was time for her to go anyway then." Really, is that what you want your employers to think of you when you've been at a job for 15 plus years?
After letting this client know that many people were making voting decisions based on their anger, fear and own greed and that I know this is not how I wish to proceed with changing the world or the government she seemed to understand. But she still said, "Well, you don't have to vote straight ticket but you need to vote."
Last night my x-husband contacted my daughter to see who she voted for. When she told him that she didn't vote he wanted to end the conversation. It's interesting to watch people when you don't feed into their drama. But let's take a closer look at it all.
No matter which side you vote for there is someone on the opposite end of that voting against you. Whether the person you voted for wins or loses each party loses because now we are a battle of who's the strongest of us all. How can we ever have a government of peace when the people in themselves are without peace?
The government is still another way to fall asleep. For you not to recognize what is going on inside of you. Those that voted for Obama are saying, "He'll take care of us". Those that don't vote for Obama say "He's taking everything from us." So let's just take the first one.
First, you have to be honest with your decision of why you voted for who you voted for. So let's say it was Obama, there is nothing wrong or right about this decision. So you voted for him. Now write down all the reasons you voted for him. Now for those of you that wanted Obama out write down all those reasons.
I'm going to give you some examples here of comments that were given to me.
Voted for Obama because of: for change, equal rights, increase money, economic growth, free health care, great speaker
Voting Obama out: double talking, congress to take away family gardens, health care package, cap and trade (energy driving up electric bill 10-15%) poor policy with foreign countries.
I love the one about the family gardens. So let's take that one. Of course we all know that no one can take anything away from us because we don't own anything anyway. Many of you are going to get pretty upset with this and all I have to say to this is "Thy Will Will Be Done", whether you like it or not this is only your garden you are worrying about. It has nothing to do with your family garden but rather you garden of beliefs. You have to hold on to your beliefs or your whole world will change and that's the real fear. So we don't want to vote for someone that's going to make us look at ourselves, but rather have a person that just keeps feeding us like little chicks in the nest, never to leave home.
I love the poor policy with foreign countries too. How much further do we need to pull ourselves away and make ourselves foreign to God? This is only a reflection of what you are dealing with internally that you are now projecting.
If you say that you voted for the best person, you are right! Now look at the reason why you've asked for that experience in your life and what you don't wish to deal with. If you say that the wrong person is in place, then look internally to see how you've neglected yourself. There is no right or wrong, it's all good because it brings us into the light.
Stop!!!!!!! You are pulling yourself apart! Because whatever you like about one you have to agree to dislike about the other. Whatever you like about yourself, you have to agree to dislike another part of yourself.
The intelligence to vote doesn't mean to vote out of anger, fear, greed or what's in it for me, but the intelligence to vote means to go within your heart and know what God is speaking to you. Each one of us has a different responsibility only to ourselves when it comes to this choice. Each one of us must come to the light of our decision.

Belief Statement: (this is someone else's process that was willing to share)
I am voting for Obama because I'm done with all "you" old folks controlling our country. This really makes me angry and I want to hit someone. I believe it's time for a change and I'm ready to boot your old ass out of the government and it's time for fresh blood. I'm gaining frustration while losing peace.
Wow, this young man is pretty upset with control, the elders, he wants blood and booting out government. While he's holding this belief he is frustrated and losing peace. Look at how many of you might have voted with this same emotional response.
But here is what he's really saying about himself. Remember there is no one out there, out there.
I am voting for myself because I'm done with the old controlling part of me. This part of me really makes me angry and attacking. I believe I need to change and I'm ready to kick the old me out for all to see because it's time for Christ consciousness. I'm frustrated and losing peace. (This young man is absolutely right, it is time for the female energy to rise and for the Christ Consciousness to arrive).
Spirit Statement: I support myself while working with old beliefs that have controlled me. I know change is to welcome the Christ Consciousness of peace.
You see no matter who you are when you begin to investigate your thoughts about what is really going on you find liberation. If you guys don't believe me just take a moment to think about how you feel in your body when the government doesn't do what you want it to do. Are you peaceful, joyful, loving, and experience complete bliss? If not, then you are no longer 100% connected with Source and are trying to separate and delay your awakening.
Each of us has our own experience within our government. For me I have not been affected by the economics of it like so many say they have been. For me, I don't worry about insurance or who is going to take care of me for I know that my life belongs to God. Whatever is to happen will happen and I love that part of this plan. I don't have to know everything, I just have to know God.
I have been told that I am irresponsible with my life because I live this way. Well, who's happier doesn't make a difference because I have my share of pain. The difference is taking responsibility for that pain and growing more and more into the light with it. So my pain is short lived and my moments of unity, joy, peace and love grow by leaps and bounds each and everyday.
I love God with all of my heart and I know He knows that and needs not your approval. When I fight with my brother I know I am fighting with God. When I call my brother evil, I know I am calling God evil. But that's not all, I know I am fighting with myself and I am calling myself evil. Liberation is found in understanding that you are IT.
