There's a bird in a tree, but can you see?
He's singing for both you and me.
His song is there to remind us of one,
before the wind blows and things are undone.
It will take more than a gustly breeze,
to blow this fella from the trees.
The wind bellows out stirring the dust,
making like it's separate from the rest of us.
But the bird knows that all is safe,
nestled safely in his place.
No matter what the wind throws his way,
he knows surely there will come a day
When all that never really was,
will disappear and turn to dust.
But until that day and time,
the bird will sing and chime
So that all that see his face will know,
that his love was pure as snow.
And all that hear his voice,
will know his hearts desire and choice.
Love, Dr. Velvete
We all must remember that we are all one. When a division is trying to be created we have a choice in either standing firm within our hearts and make the choice of love, or continue to blow our gustly winds, stirring the dust so that we become invisible to others while making ourselves more known to others.
You see, as you fade from this place there is another place/realm in which you desire to hold and be true to. If you are like the wind pushing others around then you are surely fearful of what lies ahead. However, if you are like the bird, you trust and have faith in what is. This doesn't mean the bird doesn't hold on to the branches, it doesn't mean he goes out and addresses the wind head on, and it surely doesn't mean he gathers all the other birds and say, "Let's defend the wind." He simply knows that the wind is blowing and that it will surely pass, tire, or move on. He knows that it's okay to sing is song, he has a voice, he has a choice, and he has a right to live his dream.
