Day 236, "The Diviided Mind"

Yes the two ii's were meant to be in the word divided, there is deep symbolic meaning behind the occurance.

How do we know that our mind is divided? It's been the question through the ages. Many people will deny that their mind is ever divided, that there is nothing wrong with them, that they don't feel this way or that way. Well, have we been so conditioned by the ego to now resist showing any form of emotion; that we feel less divided in not being weak, tired, or angry? I mean my goodness even Christ cried on the cross. Does this mean that he was showing weakness or doubt, or a divided mind? Absolutely not. He was experiencing the emotion and the pain, just as Buddha did when he found out his whole family had died. Just to obtain an undivided mind does not mean that we stop experience joy, love, sorrow or pain. The healing comes from no longer resisting it.

People have said to me, "Wow, you've really come along way in your life." I've only been able to do this by embracing the experiences in my life. Sure, they are not all pleasant. Are they becoming more so? Yes! Because I am taking responsibility for my divided mind. So when I was sleeping on a floor of an empty duplex with a 1 year old and another on the way, I simply stated, "God, I don't know why I am here but I know you know what you are doing." It wasn't until being able to embrace that experience that I was able to say, "Hold up....there is something different." Why? Because that different thing was now made known to me because of my willingness.

It's a pretty common theme in our country today people talking about the president and how they feel about him. Isn't this great! Now we have people waking up to how they feel about something. We can either use this feeling to learn/discover what it is within us that we are feeling. So if you are always saying that you hate the president, then your mind is divided. Why? Because you have not understood, nor took the time to see what your beliefs have created. The division is that you really think that someone else is doing something to you. If you are saying, "No, now I'm not saying I hate the president I just don't like what he's doing to people". Really? Then great! Starting learning what it is that you don't like about him and ask yourself how have you done this yourself.

So you will never be clear as long as you believe that someone is doing something to you or to another. Surely we can all agree that certain things seem really bad and that we say they shouldn't happen, but they did. That's the reality! There is no division with that reality, only in your mind because now you are saying that it should have been different. Once you say it should've been different you are divided and not living God's Will.

Some of you will read this and not understand, this is absolutely okay. Some of you will read this and feel angry, that is wonderful. Some of you will read this and want to strike out, but who are you striking against? If there is only "One Son" and we are all the son of God then we are all the son. We are all each other.

The Bible has become so much more alive to me these days now that my eye has awakened. How does it become the Living Word? By you, us becoming the Living Word, just like Christ did. We call him Christ not Jesus because when he became enlightened he was within the Christ Consciousness. That's why he was able to say "Heaven is here on earth." He was the living breath, we all are.

I remember a conversation I had with my Father-in-law one day, he was talking about how glad he was that someone was being put to death. I told him that seemed very sad to me but that his view point was fine because in reality he'll make it to heaven in his own time. He immediately told me that he didn't want to be any where near this man when the end of days arrives. Hum! Interesting isn't it. That we are told not to judge, that we are told not to show favoritism and we are told to love everyone, including our enemies and yet we say things like this. Who are we playing at that time to say that it's going to be this way or that way?

It's puzzling to me, but I think we could all learn a little more about the Garden of Eden when we look at this thought; truly we can see the divided mind, "I want it my way not yours." Poof, okay then go to sleep. LOL Then the man, and isn't this typical of all of us, "Well it's not my fault someone else made me do that, I take no responsibility for that. Don't punish me! I didn't do anything wrong." So why did God cast them both out of the Garden then? Because they were both divided. They each said someone else made them do it.

When we are no longer divided within the mind we see clearly "thy will be done". Simple! But why isn't it simple? Why can't folks give up what they "think" they have or don't have? And why can't we go back home? Because we have become so attached to the idea that we are all separate that it's dividing the mind.

Why are we to love our neighbors as ourselves? Because they are us.
Why are we to honor our mother and father? Because they are us.
Why are we to love our enemy? Because our enemy is our greatest Angel. That enemy is a part of you that has needed attention for a very long time.

So you may mock me all that you wish and desire. It's not for me to say when you will wake up, it's already done. And if you say, "Well, Christ died for my sins and I don't have to do anything but to believe that he did that for me then I'm saved" where is your sense of response-ability in that. What abilities do you have that are Christ like? What abilities do you have that will bring peace to your nation? What abilities do you have to love everyone as yourself? And maybe that's the clue right there, that you don't love yourself. How could you ever love another without loving yourself first?

I have said this before that it seemed like a very dark time during WWII, however, out of the darkest moments come the greatest light and understanding. How many of us are still little Hitlers with our own hate for a race or a people or a person? To only see that we don't treat the Jews like that any more is not enough. What was that message to us as a human race? Are we saying that God was wrong to bring in his angel that brought such darkness to that time period? It is not for us to say, but it is there for us to heal. Each of us can learn something different from that time period whether we were in it or not. Just like with the Indians that were taken from this land, or were they taken at all? Could they have been so united within their mind that it was time for that shift to occur? If we say, "Oh, they deserved to die because they didn't know who Christ was and they would not accept him as their lord and savior", then we have just committed one of the biggest sins upon ourselves. Read the Word, it's in there.

Who are we to say how someone receives this level of awareness and understanding. As long as we think we know it all we are surely to find out that we don't. Even within my own writings and processes I discover and take responsibility for what I don't know. But it is my willingness to say, "God, I don't know why this or that is happening but I know it's all for my greatest good" we've just made room for awareness.

Blessings to me!
Enjoy!
