You only thought you were you!

When you read the things that I said,
You only thought it was me instead.

But what you failed to see,
I am you and you are me.

With this grave illusion,
comes with great confusion.

For you only think it's me,
with an inability to see.

Looking now beyond the mind,
to see what is really behind.

But what you failed to see,
I am you and you are me.

You raise your voice,
and claim your choice.

Not looking within your heart,
for all the things that tear it apart.

But rather what others have done to you instead,
keeping yourself distant from the things that are said.

It's better to go to sleep at night,
when you know you've lost sight.

What keeps you from your heart my love,
why not release it like a dove?

What is it that you truly fear,
and that you hold oh so dear?

But what you failed to see,
I am you and you are me.

As Christ said once before,
don't fall asleep for there is more.

You close your eyes to hide the sights,
of what you hope will be alright.

Another life, you request,
but this one is your very best.

Always in need of human touch,
screaming please love me oh so much.

But what you failed to see,
I am you and you are me.

Blessings to all that still feel the need to go to sleep, to those that still crave touch, to those that still feel the need to project their fears and anger on to others. I know, I've done it myself. Be gentle and kind when you see your brothers and sisters in Christ.
