It was very appropriate today that our meditation at the Lodge was about World Peace. And as they stated in the meditation, peace starts within first and with tolerance. This meditation confirmed my feelings and thoughts for the day.
The way I tolerance is it allows us all to enjoy our differences without feeling the need to empower or enlighten another. We empower no one. It is only through their own desire to wake up that they find what will be right for them. When a person decides to seek enlightenment and is serious about it the teacher appears.
I have seen even with my own clients if I try to give them information they are not ready for, or have not asked for, there is an opposite result; one of confusion and uneasiness.
It's easy to say that we are tolerant of others and their views, but to validate our ability to tolerant another can be a total different experience. True tolerance is more than allowing an individual their views; it's about honoring their experience regarding their choice, almost as if in celebration for them. What is wrong with honoring a person by saying, "Wow, that's really great that you are so passionate about that."? Celebrate with them in their experience.
When we find ourself disagreeing with others in their experiences we are no longer tolerant, but rather confrontational; because now we are trying to make our will their will. When we are strong on our path of empowerment and enlightenment we no longer feel the need to prove a point but rather honor the differences. When we are empowered and enlightened we see ourselves one with our world and "ALL" things in it.
When a person is trying to force their will on to anyone, this is no longer of empowerment but disempowerment; it is no longer love, but fear. Whenever a person forces their will on to another they are saying, "I don't trust the experience you are having and I need to control that for you to make sure you are safe. You're not getting it and I want you to. Look I have all the answers."
To be tolerant of an individual and in celebration with them doesn't mean that you have to participate in their illusion. It doesn't mean that you have to drop your illusion or beliefs to join with theirs. It simply means the spirit in me honors the spirit in you.
I have had people come into my shop that want to know why I am carrying certain products. They felt I shouldn't offer such products based on what I knew of things. The reality of it is, I am honoring others in their choices and experiences. When they ask for my advice I guide them gently so that they feel empowered and not like an idiot. I try to help everyone feel important because they are. This is tolerance!
When we find ourselves feeling disempowered by another for what we are experiencing then it's okay to back away. Tolerance doesn't come in the fashion of force. Tolerance doesn't come in the form of judgement. Tolerance doesn't come in the form of debate. Simply walk away and empower youself with choice.
Of course tolerance, too, will no longer be necessary for the enlightened, but for now it is so. As long as we still see anything separate from who we are, LOVE, then there will always be some outer dark force to overcome. And as long as we see this outer dark force anything other than what it is, our own dark demons then, again, tolerance will be necessary. What is true is only true for the person that has expereinced that truth. Truth is experienced. Let's all be tolerant that everyone will have different truths because they will have different experiences to make it so for them. Just allowing it to be means that we trust that all is well.
Belief Statement: Tolerance has become conditional, which isn't tolerance at all and this feels confusing. I'm gaining an ability to back away when things make me feel bad for I know this is a trick of the ego. I'm gaining awareness and losing friends.
Spirit Statement: Acceptance is unconditional and this acceptance is certain in my ability to confront everything with love for this is the gift of spirit of awareness with friends.
It is so clear to see that acceptance is truly the gift here. And as I've said in the past that anything that is uncomfortable, look to see what you might be resisting. Once you've discovered this you can better understand the trick of the ego. Ego always makes us feel doubt, fear, lack, harm, and more.
Please enjoy. Know this information is never intended to make my will your will, but rather a sharing with everyone of how the process is working personally in my life. As stated in the beginning, this blog was created as a way to document and share the transformation process.
