One way that we could look at release is this, "Do only what is necessary to convey what is essential", from Wabi Sabi Simple. When we release the difficulties in our lives we are not saying we are being irresponsible, but rather what we are saying is "I'm not going to complicate this more than necessary."
There have been so many times in my life where I have seen people digging and keep digging as if they had some point to prove. Well what happens is they get extremely attached to the outcome. Whenever we get that attached to anything we are no longer allowing Spirit to guide and influence our lives, nor are we in the rhythm of the natural flow of the Universe. I've witnessed myself, being an employer for over 15 years, staff that feel that begin to feel that flow and then they want to complicate it, they want to make it about them, they want recognition, they want, they want, they want. But what they really have is the attachment and not the release. This stifles both the business and the individual doing the stifling.
In Higher Mind, Lower Mind we stated, "We had to release the filters of our subconscious mind and past or old beliefs about ourselves and our old behaviors to allow the new to come from within." The need to want more, the need to strive for better, the need to be somebody is all a subconscious mind belief/pattern/behavior. Sure it's not easy when you have to leave a job or when you lose a job, but it's what's programmed in your subconscious mind that will either allow you your bliss or your down fall. By looking at the situation with the Higher Mind we know that everything is going to be okay and that we will be given new opportunities to experience and express our new ideas, our new personality, and our new Mind.

I've stated this before, that every thing that happens in our lives is for our overall benefit. When we are going through the drama/dream/pain/situation at the time it's hard to see that. But later, when you find yourself reflecting you will see that it brought about great lessons and opportunities for spiritual growth and awareness. So utilize every situation to be about how you would like it to be and know that every situation is an opportunity for you to see the flow and miracle in life.
Belief Statement: Our world is full of opportunities and this makes me joyful. I know that we have much to clear from our own minds and this may seem hard at times, but we do gain strength while losing attachments.
Spirit Statement: We are full of opportunities in joy. We know clarity of mind is easy with time, strength and release.
