When it comes to who we are it matters not what others think of us. It simply is a matter of what you feel is right for you in your heart. Many would disagree because they think that it is by this thought, "I have to worry about what everyone else thinks" that will save them from making a mistake. Many mistakes are made because of what others think of us. We see this with our youth everyday.
But when we know who we are, truly are, then there is not this external influence constantly making us struggle with our identity. We can not even be what others think we should be if it does not align with our own hearts. If you are told you are a teacher but there is no talent, gifts, personal or social skills then teaching will be very difficult. However, if you love teaching and you still lack these skills then your ability to overcome any obstacles preventing this for happening for you will not be seen as a challenge but rather as an adventure.
The real truth to this is that what we believe about ourselves is what is projected into our world so that we may see, hear, feel and understand better the being that we are inside.
If another person tells you are a nobody and you buy that story then you will struggle in proving them wrong, rather than following your heart and doing what is right for you. When we know who we are we do our skill to the best of our ability and shine, which in turn allows others to shine.
My children work the way they do because I told them all their lives they were important, they were strong and that they could do and be whatever they wanted to be. There was never any judgment or force on my part for them to "become" anything other than the beautiful people they were. This my friends is when we allow our gardens to grow.
Now, if a person does say something about us and it strikes a cord within us, then we simply know that God is speaking and that we need to understand how this beautiful angel in front of us is helping us to wake up.
You see if you believe in yourself then God is always there to help you understand this better.
Much love to you all,
Dr. Velvete
