There is no doubt that as we awaken we feel more alive, more in tune, and more creative. This allows us to be aware of so many things, including our own bodies.
The body is not the enemy, but we make it so because we think by punishing the body we are punishing ourselves. And in many ways this is true, just ask anyone that is suffering from physical pain and many will resolve to the fact that they believe they are being purified or punished for some horrible thing they have done in their life, whether present or past.
This kind of belief keeps the flow of karma in safe mode. What I mean by this is this: As long as I still have issues I'm resolving in my life on earth I get to come back and do it again. So if the person believes that they are being punished in the body now that means when they come back they will experience life in a better body, less pain, and more freedom. This may be true, but it's still karma good, bad or indifferent.
For one to freely free them self from the constant swing of good and evil we must look at just embracing what is and accepting that there is a divine will within it and move through the pain without placing blame, even on ourselves.
It's time to awaken. And just because you become awake doesn't mean you're not going to feel pain, it just means you will feel it more intensely. It means that you will enjoy the pain for what it is and allow yourself to move through it rather than getting stuck with it.
All things in our lives are to help us to move through it, not become absorbed by it.
