When asking this question I'm referring to a part in HMLM (Higher Mind, Lower Mind) that talks about who's guiding you in your life, your ego or higher self. Many people that claim to be spiritual would say that they are allowing their Higher Self to guide them, this may be true for the most part; not for me to say. However, there is an easy way to identify the ego; if it divides it's ego. It's easy by asking yourself how you feel about something. If you have no real reaction to it then you are in the divine. This is not to say that you can't enjoy your emotions but rather it's the resistance that one has regarding their reality that sets up the role playing. The division comes when we want people to stop doing what they are doing.
I know, I know....I hear it already, "Well Velvete, I do want people to stop treating me like I'm a nobody. I want people to respect me. I want my children to behave." This is divided because what you are now saying is you believe that your life would be better a different way. Hum? Many of you are saying but that's why I read your books so that I can have it a different way. Let me explain.
Higher Mind, Lower Mind allows an individual to see the "Laws" the beliefs that have been written. Once a law is written it has to be fulfilled, right? HMLM is taking the law that has been written by ego, your belief statement and allowing you to make a new law, a new belief statement that will now over-ride the original law. This became very clear from a friend of mine that read the book of Ester. It is clearer to me that this is what is meant by re-writting our script. But how can we do this if we don't even know what the freaken law is? Easy, it's being seen all around you. Just follow the process and now you know what is being hidden from you.
So if you are a person that says that you don't like your life the way that it is or that someone has done something to you then you will benefit from re-writing your law/belief. To take the oppportunities that we have from our shadows we can discover again the pieces of ourselves that we have chosen to hide until the appropriate time. It's through questioning these beliefs that we can find beauty in all things; So if we see someone's actions are bad how are we going to ever see the good in them? We won't until we realize what it is we are hiding from ourselves.
Is your heart beating really fast right now? Are you thinking in your head, "What the hell is she talking about?", then you are being directed by ego. But this ego is also your ability to shine light. It's through moments like this that when we take the time to go within that we find the light and now allow Divine to be our director.
I will expand on this more this week, but for now I'm getting ready to have dinner with 2 more beautiful people and experience LOVE, pure love. How do I know this? Because they are me!
