I just finished my resting period. After last week I realized that I needed to allow myself down time, not just when I'm not feeling well, but everyday. So everyday I close my office door and take about a 30-45 minutes of meditative rest. I drift off just a bit to another place allowing my body to complete relax and my spirit just to connect back with Source. It just feels so good to be awake and feel so asleep.
I'm proud of myself how I am just taking my time with things, I'm not feeling rushed or pushed to accomplish stuff. I don't think about what needs to be done, I just do it. This has allowed so much stuff that I used to think that needed to be done and not do it, to now just being done effortlessly. It's important to get ourselves to a place in our lives that we welcome the day instead of dreading it because we've scheduled so much crap to do that we can't even live. I'm not saying I dreaded getting up because that would not be true but now I enjoy getting up for very different reasons, like petting my kittens and sitting with them with a cup of hot tea each morning.
Relaxation always the body to release toxins that have built up throughout the day and allows the body to slow down to have an internal break from the world. It also allows a persons mind to drift and free itself from conditions set upon it by the world. Relaxation also allows an individual to sleep better at night because now their body isn't so over exhausted that it can't wind down. It allows us to sleep deeper and better through the night, awakening us early in the morning completely refreshed.
Belief Statement: I allow myself to have moments of peace and quiet and this makes me feel refreshed and enegized. I know that my mind, body and spirit need the break so that I can gain awareness and focus while losing tension.
Spirit Statement: I am peace and quiet and feel refreshed and energized and know my mind, body and spirit rest in my awareness and focus with total peace.
