I was reading in WABI SABI SIMPLE and this quote just seemed very appropriate, "For wabi sabi to flow in your life you must find the balance between chosen action and chosen inaction." When I read this I thought how appropriate for the "Purple Party".
Everyday everything around us affirms that reality is in motion, even the rock and mountains that erode and re-form over millions of years. Just because it doesn't happen with the speed of the human race doesn't mean it's not occurring.
As I sat on my meditation rock one day I felt like I was completely absorbed into the rock. Funny thing happened though, everything started slowing down. I felt the weight of the rock and I could see everything happening around me, but in slow motion. Now, my thought was this, if I and the rock just became one then I just experienced the rocks perspective. Cool and weird all at the same time because I had never been able to slow down so much within a high vibration state. The Rock vibrates with great intensity and speed. Makes sense because it has to be held together tightly, so I would only imagine the energy being fast. But while in that fast rate everything around you slows down.
My point is this....the rock appears to not being in action even though it is eroding over time. So do our efforts all have to be about doing something or are we continually in motion, changing and growing without conscious effort on our parts. And the answer is yes. We don't tell our hair to grow, but it does because we are continually in motion. But it is through the stillness of our beings, just like the rock, that allows us to see what is changing around us. And that's why it's so important to be still, listen, and observe right now....while choosing action. What is the action?....stillness, quite, and observation. We will continue to change but it is through our choice that will influence how we perceive and experience the change.
Belief Statement: Things are constantly changing and growing around me and this feels abundant. I am amazed at the power behind our being while gaining strength and losing nothing.
Spirit Statement: Growth occurs in me and feels abundant. I have amazing power with strength in everything.
